The first thing anyone wants if they are teaching martial arts is to know that what they are teaching will work in interpersonal conflict. The Crazy Monkey Defense System has this covered by default.
But beyond the importance of teaching a program that works in self-preservation, what I hear weekly from aspiring and full time martial arts instructors from all across the world is how tired they are of the way modern martial arts is currently being taught. As most martial arts instructors have realized, in the modern era of martial arts the focus tends to be either on hyper-competitiveness, or reality based self defense paranoia.
However, I see the rise of a new kind of modern martial arts instructor, someone who not only wants to ensure their students can effectively defend themselves, but equally inspire them to take the lessons they learn on the the mat to supercharge their life off it.
More and more modern martial arts instructors are seeing the value in what I am suggesting. It’s not a coincidence that this new way of thinking about the modern martial arts experience has risen with the emergence of what is termed the Wisdom Age. In the last 30 years, humanity has been transforming at an ever-increasing rate. In that time the focus of the world has shifted from the Information Age to the Knowledge Age. However, humanity is now in the midst of another shift that is just beginning to emerge, the Wisdom Age. People are actively seeking out experiences of creativity, intuition, collaboration, self-reflection, and altruism, among others. As with all aspects of life, from organizations, to the work people do, they are now seeking to engaged in experiences that will enhance their own personal wellness — and martial arts is no different.
My Crazy Monkey Defense System is on the forefront of martial arts for the Wisdom Age. I want you to join my amazing international team, as we continue to offer our students training that’s a true lifestyle experience — while simultaneously ensuring they gain the important skill of self-protection.
I want to make the Crazy Monkey Defense Trainers Program accessible to the right people. Rather than having a set price on joining and representing the brand, I have opted for a sliding scale depending on where you live, and on your current financial status. I fully recognize as someone residing in South Africa, that the economy in India is very different to the economy in America. As such, you can join the Trainers Program *starting from as little as $2.8 a day.
Admittingly while running the Trainers Program, coaching seminars around the world, and developing online courses is how I make a living — money is not as important to me as having the right people in my team. I want aspiring and current martial arts instructors to join the Crazy Monkey Defense Trainers Program who believe that the martial arts experience should be far more than simply teaching one more person how to fight. If this is you, and if you want to help coach your students to take the lessons from the mat positively into the world — I encourage you to apply at the bottom of this page. I will respond to you with personalized available options for you to join my amazing team of trainers if your application is successful.
The number #1 benefit is that you get access to me and some of the best modern martial arts trainers in the world. Outside of over two decades of training, researching and developing the Crazy Monkey Defense (CMD) System — I have real world experience in dealing with interpersonal violence while working as the head doorman outside some of the roughest nightclubs in Johannesburg for several years. I was the hand-to-hand combat instructor for my unit during military service, and over the past decade I have taught the CMD System to special force military operators, law enforcement teams, and close protection groups all over the world.
In the same time, I completed my undergraduate work in psychology. I earned a masters degree in leading innovation and change. My doctoral research has been in the field of mindfulness, and its application to leadership performance. In addition I have completed dozens of other qualifications, from Positive Psychology Coaching to Character Strengths Training.
My formative training in embodiment as a tool for personal transformation comes from my extensive background in martial arts – whilst my academic rigor in delivering sound research based embodied solutions – comes from my several years of research as a social scientist, and doctoral researcher. ALL OF THIS, is part of the CMD experience. Through my extensive background, you get to offer a ground breaking modern martial arts experience, that not only will allow your students to effectively defend themselves, but equally important, give them the skills to take on the martial arts of everyday life more skillfully.
